ABOUT CAMP

CAMP KIRKLAND

As one of the most recognized names in church music, Camp Kirkland has been arranging for the church since 1978. Over the decades since, he's arranged and orchestrated thousands of selections for choir and orchestra, building a body of work used by churches around the world.

He’s earned numerous awards, including three Dove Awards, and continues to write new arrangements and commissions today. After five decades of arranging, he's built a legacy of music that will bless and inspire people for many years to come.

1989
Created the Gloryland band series with Prism, which led to 10 volumes (1989-2010)

Published the Christmas musical “A Light Still Shines”, which was one of his most popular Christmas musicals.

Led his first mission project with Global Missions Project to Poland

Started the orchestra program at First Baptist Church Jacksonville, FL

1976
Became the first full time Church Orchestra Director in the United States

1978
Published his first orchestra series:
“7 Plus Orchestra Series”

1980
Published his first choral series: “His Name is Jesus”

1983
Arranged his first Christmas musical, “Cradle The King With Praise” with Franklin House Publisher with Steve Adams


1992
Published the Dove Award winning musical “God With Us” (with Don Moen and Tom Fetke) which subsequently led to 2 more musicals, “God For Us” (1994) and “God In Us” (1996)

Created a choir and orchestra tribute to the 250th anniversary of the USA with his son, Kirk Kirkland called “Hope for America”

Music is a unique way of connecting with people to share the Gospel. Global Missions Project takes teams of musicians around the world to reach people through evangelical concerts in churches, schools, hospitals, and parks.
